FAQs
Frequently asked questions.
Everything you need to know about your BERNIGAUD experience.
What services does BERNIGAUD offer?
BERNIGAUD designs and delivers private dining and catering experiences — from intimate dinners and multi-course menus to cocktail receptions, canapés and sharing-style dining. Every format is built around the occasion.
Where are your services available?
We operate across Dubai and the wider UAE. Requests outside this area, including for select events, can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
How does a private dining experience work?
We handle the experience from menu planning through to service. After an initial conversation about your event, we propose a tailored menu and format, then our team manages the sourcing, cooking, presentation and service on the day.
Are the menus customized?
Yes — every menu is written for the occasion. We work around the season, your guests’ preferences and the style of dining you have in mind, while keeping Chef Bernigaud’s cooking at the centre of it.
Can you accommodate dietary requirements and allergies?
Yes. We ask that dietary requirements and allergies are shared at the planning stage so the menu can be adjusted accordingly. For serious allergies, please give us full details in advance so we can plan properly.
How many guests can you cater for?
From an intimate dinner for two to a larger private event, the format, menu and service are adapted to your guest count and the venue.
Do you cook at the client’s home?
Yes. We prepare and serve directly in private residences and villas. Ahead of the event, we usually ask a few questions about the kitchen and equipment available so the evening runs smoothly.
What if my kitchen is not fully equipped?
That’s rarely an obstacle. Once we understand what’s available, we can bring what’s needed or adjust the menu and preparation accordingly.
Do you provide waiters and service staff?
Yes, professional service can be arranged depending on the scale of the event. The aim is a complete evening, not just food delivered to the table.
Can you provide tableware and event equipment?
Tableware, glassware, linen and other table elements can be arranged as part of the proposal, depending on what you need.
Can you organize canapés and cocktail receptions?
Yes. Alongside seated dinners, we design canapé selections and cocktail formats suited to your guest count and the tone of the occasion.
Do you offer family-style or sharing menus?
Yes, sharing menus are available for a more relaxed table, without compromising on the produce or the presentation.
Do you provide beverages or wine pairing?
We’re happy to discuss beverage needs during planning and, where appropriate, advise on pairings as part of the overall proposal.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as possible, particularly for weekends, holidays or larger events. Shorter-notice requests can sometimes be accommodated depending on availability.
How do I request a quotation?
Reach out through the contact form or WhatsApp with your date, location, approximate guest count and the kind of experience you’re picturing. We’ll come back with a tailored proposal.
How is the price of an event calculated?
Every event is priced individually, based on the menu, guest count, ingredients, staffing, equipment and service style involved. A detailed quotation follows once we understand your requirements.
Is there a minimum number of guests?
There’s no fixed minimum, though requirements can vary by date, menu and service style. Send us your event details and we’ll confirm what’s possible.
Can BERNIGAUD cater for corporate or brand events?
Yes, we design menus and service for corporate dinners, product launches, brand activations and other professional occasions.
Can you cater for birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions?
Yes. Menus and service are shaped around the occasion, whatever atmosphere you’re aiming for.
What makes BERNIGAUD different from traditional catering?
We approach catering the way a restaurant approaches service. Chef Bernigaud’s background across houses including The Ritz Paris, Joël Robuchon, Petrossian and Le Baudelaire shapes the menu, the sourcing and the execution — the goal is to bring that standard into a private setting.
What happens after I send an enquiry?
We review your request and get in touch to understand the occasion, guest count, location and the style you have in mind, then put together a proposal and menu around it.
Can I make changes to the menu after booking?
Reasonable adjustments can usually be made before the final confirmation deadline, depending on sourcing and how close we are to the event date.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation and payment terms are set out clearly in each proposal and booking confirmation. Because ingredients, staff and preparation are reserved specifically for your event, terms can vary with the size and nature of the booking.
